How Our Courses Work
Each course is structured around school-specific writing tasks taken from The Story Desk workbook, which is posted to your door when you enrol. Your child completes a task in their own time, scans or photographs it, and uploads it using the QR code on the page. Within 48 hours, Joycellyn records a personalised Editor’s Review: a private video going through the work line by line. This process repeats across the course, with each piece of writing building on the last.
Who Our Courses Are For
Our courses are designed for children in Years 4, 5 and 6 who are preparing for writing entrance exams at selective independent schools or for the writing component of Stage 2 grammar school tests. We offer school-specific courses for Trinity, Alleyn’s, JAGS, the City of London School for Girls, Dulwich College and others, as well as a general grammar school writing course covering the core creative writing skills tested at selective schools across the UK.
